January Meeting
2010
Today's meeting was the
installation of the new President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary which
was held at 2:00 p.m. at Tony Roma's restaurant in Kennewick, Washington.
There were approximately 25 members which came to the meeting.
Outgoing President Wanda
Stokes welcomed everyone, especially new members from La Grande, Oregon,
John & Virginia Lackey and Merle & Bertha Feik.
It was nice to see everyone.
We also extend our deepest
sympathies to Fred & Mary Frazer for the loss of Mary's mother, and to John
& Linda Carraher for the loss of Linda's aunt. Please know that our
prayers and thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Also get well
wishes for Linda Porter on her recent wrist surgery.
Wanda will send a thank you
letter to Canyon Lakes Retirement Center in care of Wayne and Lorraine Williams
for the use of their banquet room for our Christmas party. Everyone who
attended enjoyed their selves.
Mike Porter gave a run-down
of the people who qualified for the Trouble Truck Trophy. Several members
were mentioned, but it turned out that Dean and Wanda Stokes qualified the most
and were awarded the trophy.
It was also mentioned about
the National Model T tour to Whitefish, Montana is the first week in
August. Several members are going or are interested. It was urged to
get your reservations in if you haven't done so yet.
Mike Porter, Treasurer
gave everyone a crisp $5 bill towards their dinner. This was voted on last
year as a way of thanking our members who come to our meetings. Thank
you!
Dale & Sharon Peterson
are also working on a couple of tours this year. One will be to Soap Lake
and the other a week long tour to the San Juan Islands. Jim & Phyllis
Langdon are working on a tour to Mecham, Oregon, and John & Linda Carrarah
will perhaps revive the "Freeze Your Fanny" tour. Please keep informed on
when, where and how these tours will take place. Please come to the
meetings.

On a personal note, I would
