Monthly Minutes

November’s meeting was on the 19^th at 7:00 p.m. at the Reata Springs Baptist Church in Kennewick .  President Wanda Stokes opened the meeting leading in the Pledge of Allegiance to the American flag. 

The minutes were read by Secretary Jane Armstrong and accepted as read. 

Mike Porter gave the Treasurer’s Report.  We have money in the bank. 

OLD BUSINESS:  The Christmas Party will be December 12, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Canyon Lakes Retirement Center , Wayne and Lorraine Williams are hosting the party.  The club will provide the ham and eating utensils, everyone else should bring a dish to share and a gender neutral gift, maximum $10.00, for the White Elephant exchange.  Ken TerMaaten volunteered to bring drinks and Mary Fraser will bring rolls. 

The Model-T National Tour will be headquartered in Whitefish, Montana August 1-6, 2010 . 

January’s meeting has been changed to Tony Roma’s.  It will be January 17, 2010 at 2:00 pm .  The club will donate $5.00 towards dinner for everyone who has paid their 2010 dues before the 17^th. 

NEW BUSINESS:  THE FOLLOWING IS A CHANGE IN THE WAY THE CLUB NEWS WILL BE ACCESSED.  Dale Peterson has set up a Web Site for the Club which will include Club Information, Calendar of Events, T-Times Newsletter, Tour Photos, Member Cars, Interesting Links, and How to Join the Club.  The Web site is:  http://threeriversmodeltfordclub.yolasite.com.  Look at Dale’s web site; I think you’ll be very pleased with what he has done.  Once you access the website, put it on My Favorites and it will be easy to access each time you want to see what’s going on.  THIS WILL BE THE LAST NEWSLETTER PRESENTED IN THIS FORMAT; FROM NOW ON IT WILL BE ON THE WEBSITE. 

It was suggested that perhaps a Postcard will be sent to those who do not have computers to keep them informed of coming events and tours.      

Election of officers was held.  The following were elected to serve in 2010.

                            1 year – Dale Peterson 

Someone (?) reported on a PBS Documentary on the use of Model-T’s during WWI and how interesting it was. 

The club voted to donate $100.00 to Reata Springs Baptist Church for the generous use of their facility for our meetings.  Their hospitality is very much appreciated.  Mike Porter will write a letter of appreciation along with the check. 

 

We sang Happy Birthday to Dale Peterson who celebrated his birthday on the 19^th and Sharon brought birthday cake for refreshments.
